Our Story

I believe that God created me with the born desire to make things beautiful. It started when I was a little girl - no mud cake was complete without flowers from the garden. Mud cakes have since been replaced with snacks on the stoep before a braai or a cooked meal next to the dinner table, and the floral decorations on top of the mud cakes by a vase of blooms and jars of delicious jams, preserves, salads and sides. Even when life is stressful and chaotic, we have a duty to live it simply and positively, with an added touch of beauty and elegance. My hope is to share with you products which not only bring beauty and joy, but also appreciation for the salt-of-the earth South Africans who preserve our unique cultures and many traditions, and who lovingly make their products, one jar at a time.
